The line item featuring $270,000 on Candy Crush for on-duty police officers was routinely approved. “This is enriching for our officers,” said one Cleveland Police Department representative, “they need something to do while sitting in their cars, sort of like how restaurants give kids a box of crayons.”

Other CPD Officer enrichment items have been included in the budget, including vapes for each officer, shoes that light up when you take steps, and way more “super fun” guns.
