A new riverfront concert venue built by Bedrock and run by Live Nation is to be named “Columbus, Ohio”, a move they hope will entice and fool artists to come to Cleveland instead of the rival market to the south. For added believability, the phone number for the booking manager will have a 614 area code, and he’ll begin each call by saying “I just moved here from Chicago, and lowkey the food in Columbus is way better.”

When reached for comment, Bedrock and Live Nation developers said “just one more venue bro, one more and we’re done,” despite the six existing venues in Downtown Cleveland, and one more already announced.
